STATEMENT EXPLANATIONS
EXPLANATORY NOTES
Minimum Payment Amount is the minimum amount due and payable as of the last payment date. Minimum payment amount shall be determined within the frame of the principles set forth in the Regulation on Bank Cards and Credit Cards.
For each card, you only have single currency statement option. Accordingly, unless you demand a change therein, our Bank will continue sending you a TL account statement even for your international spendings.
Expenditures paid by credit cards abroad are reflected onto the statement in TL, USD or Euro in the option and upon demand of the customer, while cash advances used abroad in foreign currency will be inserted into the account statement in Turkish Lira regardless of the customer’s choice as to currency of the statement. If the customer’s choice as to currency of statement is TL or in case of cash advances to be posted into the account statement in TL, expenditures incurred in foreign countries the currency of which is not USD will first be converted into USD over the relevant then-current credit card FX transactions exchange rate, while expenditures incurred in USD will be reflected onto the account statement in TL over the relevant then-current credit card FX transactions exchange rate valid as at the date of reflection onto the Bank, and if the customer’s choice as to currency of account statement is USD, expenditures incurred in foreign countries the currency of which is not USD will be reflected onto the account statement in USD over the relevant then-current credit card FX transactions exchange rate, and if the customer’s choice as to currency of account statement is Euro, expenditures incurred in USD or USD equivalent sum of expenditures in a non-USD currency will first be converted into TL over Akbank’s then-current exchange selling rate, and then will be reflected onto the account statement in Euro over the relevant then-current credit card FX transactions exchange rate, and if the customer’s choice as to currency of account statement is USD/Euro, expenditures incurred in USD will be reflected onto the account statement in USD, and expenditures incurred in Euro will be reflected onto the account statement in Euro, and expenditures incurred in neither USD nor Euro will be reflected onto the account statement in USD over the relevant then-current credit card FX transactions exchange rate. You may retrieve Akbank’s current credit card FX transactions exchange rates via

If and to the extent the full amount of balance of a foreign currency statement is not paid up to the last payment date, the remaining sum of debts will first be converted into TL over Akbank’s exchange selling rate valid as of the cut-off date of TL statement and then be transferred to TL statement, and interest is accrued over the daily balances starting from the cut-off date of TL statement.
If your foreign currency statement shows a credit balance, then, after the last payment date, a portion of credit balance of your foreign currency statement adequate to meet and settle the unpaid minimum payment amount of your TL statement will be transferred to your TL statement over Akbank’s then current exchange rate valid as of the date of transaction. Out of the payments made for your foreign currency statement after its last payment date, first of all, expenditures incurred during the relevant period will be recovered and collected. In addition, interest will be accrued thereon as specified above. Akbank’s current exchange rates are announced and published in
